By subscribing to the Latinas in Computing community / mailing list you indicate that you have read and understood these Terms and Conditions (including Privacy Policy) and that you agree to these Terms and Conditions. Your continued subscription and receipt of Mailing List is considered acceptance of the amended Terms and Conditions. You may view these Terms and Conditions at any time.

Latinas in Computing is a community member of Systers.org.  Therefore, by signing up to be a Latinas in Computing member you are agreeing to subscribing to Latinas in Computing’s distribution list through the Systers.org mailman service. The subscription to Systers.org mailman service is done twice a month, please allow a few weeks to start receiving emails from the community. 

Mailing List Usage

Members of Latinas in Computing who are subscribed to the Systers.org mailman service can use the mailing list to communicate with the rest of the Latinas in Computing community. As a member subscribed to the Mailing List, you will receive emails shared by other members via the Mailing List.

The mailing list is organized around conversations. To begin a new conversation, members can send an email to lic+new@systers.org. Alternatively, if you would like to specify a name for your new conversation, you can send your message to lic+new+name@systers.org, replacing ‘name’ with the name you would like for your conversation (e.g., lic+new+careerfair@systers.org).

To continue an existing conversation, simply use your mailer’s “reply-all” command when you receive an email from the community and would like to continue the conversation.

You can unsubscribe from the list, or change your existing subscription, following the guidance in the sections below.

Managing your subscription

If you wish to unsubscribe from Latinas in Computing Mailing List, please follow this “unsubscribe process”:

Go to Systers.org Unsubscribe page: http://www.systers.org/mailman/listinfo/lic 

Navigate to the bottom section of the page and click “Unsubscribe or edit options” button.  If you leave the email box empty you will be prompted for your email address.

Follow the instructions from the Systers.org’s Unsubscribe process.

Privacy Policy

Personal information about you may be collected for the primary purpose(s) of keeping you informed about Latinas in Computing via our Mailing list. If you do not provide the information requested, we may not be able to email you the latest information via mailing list. 

Latinas in Computing can use your email information to share news related to the community and to invite you to events organized by the community (ex: LATINITY, Latinas in Technical Roles at Grace Hopper Celebration, etc.)

In relation to the Latinas in Computing Mailing List, you agree that you may use the Mailing List for only your personal use and you may not use the Mailing List for any commercial use. You may promote internship/job/grants opportunities and new products using new conversations via mailing list as long as they are relevant to the Latinas in Computing community (ex: related to STEM fields).
